Everyone will tell you that their college is better, but that truly does not mean it is the best in all honesty. When I applied to colleges I refused to apply to OSU, I told my mom I did not want to stay in Oklahoma or go to school in Stillwater. I had this big dream of going out of state far away. Well my mom made me still apply to OSU anyways despite all my protesting. After looking at every school and all the financial aid the only school that had the full package was Oklahoma State University. So if you are currently thinking about college and reading this apply to Oklahoma State University. You will truly not regret it or hate living kind of in the middle of nowhere. So I am going to give my top ten reasons as to why OKstate is the greatest college out there.

1. Financial Aid-

Oklahoma State gives amazing financial to it's students. When I compared the financial from Oklahoma State to other colleges, I realized Oklahoma state truly cared about all the work I did in high school. Other colleges wanted to offer half of what Oklahoma State offered in their financial aid package. So if you feel like college is too expensive well apply to Oklahoma State and see what they offer you. Because from my own personal experience OKstate had the better offer.

2. Friendliest People-

I can tell you from just comparing college visits Oklahoma State was the best. The people were so nice and wanted to tell you why the school was so amazing. In all my classes I make new friends every semester just because we talk to one another, and end up making a study group that turns into a friend group. I have made random friends while eating at restaurants around town.

3. Sports-

Of course being apart of the Big 12 is a plus to any school. But homecoming at Oklahoma State is like nothing you have seen before. The home games are something you look forward to minus the fact there is no parking on game day. Tailgating is huge at Oklahoma State there will be people set up to tailgate all over near the stadium.

3. Great Professors-

I have had wonderful professors at Oklahoma State. They make me love coming to class even if it is something not having to do with my major whatsoever. They care about you and want you to succeed. All you have to do is put the work in and you will make good grades.

5. SO Many Clubs and Activities-

There is something for everyone to be apart of on campus. Whether a religious group, major club, volunteer ambassador, or being partnered with an international student. You can attend many cultural nights or movie nights. There is so many ways to get involved and participate. I am apart of several clubs and have been on the board of some.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
