You should start a blog! Don't worry if you don't know what to write or do, blogging is not as complicated as some may think. I have my own blog and it's the greatest investment of my time!

1. It's not that complicated!

When starting your first blog you don't have to make it the best. This is your creative outlet so you can do anything! You can start off simple with a Tumblr or an Instagram. But if you really want to work on your writing and web design, companies like Wordpress, Wix, and Squarespace are the best places to start your blog!

2. You are Your Own Boss!

This is one of my favorite aspects of having a blog. When I create content I do it in my own time and in my own way. I write what I want! Writing in a blog helps develop organizational skills and determination. If you can manage your self, that goes to show how well of a worker you are.

3. It improves your writing!

Remember what I said about developing skills? This is one of them. Writing is a very useful skill when it comes to communicating and job applications. Maintaining a blog for a public audience keeps your writing skills in shape. This proves that you, as a writer, can be an effective communicator for any occasion.

4. Networking!

Blogging is an open book! You never know if you will stumble upon great opportunities or even meet new people. You can meet those that share the same interests as you. This will help build your audience so you can spread your content and words with the world!

5. You can make bank!

Did you know that you can be paid to write in a blog? Sites like Wordpress help you monetize so you can be paid for your services and creation. Although it may take time for you to develop your popularity for views and clicks, it is well worth in the long run.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
