In season two, episode two, of Supergirl we learned that Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) might not be a series regular anymore due to Kara's new self-discovery and Cat's decision to take a leave of absence from CatCo. While this news saddens me that we probably won't get to see Cat every episode, I'm glad that she'll at least, most likely and hopefully, make an appearance here and there... so let's remind ourselves five reasons why we'd miss Cat Grant.

1. Her humor.

It's even funnier when you realize this episode aired on CBS (before the show moved to CW).

I'll have to remember this one for a future witty remark.

True, Cat. True. Some things we have no choice but to do.

The Supergirl/Flash crossovers definitely gave the writers some funny opportunities (see second gif).

Cat gets it. Sometimes you just don't care.

2. She's confident and knows what she wants.

She knows who she is, and she owns it. Cat Grant is the definition of girl power.

For instance, food.

These are mine.

Then there is this confidence.

... and now?

As an aspiring author, I can 100% agree on that one.

Let's not forget about the naming of Supergirl...

Again, Girl. Power.

3. Her relationship with Kara.

Their relationship story arc was one of my favorite parts about the show, especially the first season.

Cat always gave Kara the best advice. I don't know what I'll do without her.

She even calls Kara by her actual name and not Kiera anymore.

4. Her protectiveness and faith for Supergirl.

Like when people say horrible things about Supergirl.

No explanation needed.

5. She's a hero, too.

To Kara, Cat has taught her how to believe in herself, strive for the best, and own her super power. It seems like Cat is Kara's hero.

It doesn't matter whether she's Kara or Supergirl. They have both inspired each other.

In all honesty, Cat Grant is one of the best characters on Supergirl, and it is hard to imagine the show without her. However, she has made a great impact on this show, especially helping Kara grow, and you can bet I will be looking forward to seeing Calista Flockhark (I mean, Cat) in the future.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
