Five Reasons That Make The Idea Of Going Back To School Less Sucky

School is the last thought on our mind, but it's coming up. So check your alarm twice and put your tears aside, because you'll kick a** this semester. Here's how you'll make it through:

1. You will be back with your besties.

They'll be there to encourage you to continue studying or doing homework for that one class you just can't deal with. Or maybe even encourage you to set aside the work and watch one episode of your current, favorite show on Netflix. Either way, they will be there.

2. You"ll be able to get back into your daily routine.

Break is nice and all, but at some point you're eager to get back into the swing of things. And no matter how hectic it may be, it puts us on a schedule that makes us feel accomplished and overall, good about ourselves.

3. It will be acceptable to have more than one cup of coffee a day.

There doesn't seem like enough time in the day, but somehow coffee is reliable enough to get everything you have to get done in that matter of time. Whether it be one cup, or six.

4. You're one step closer to getting that degree.

The sooner school starts, the sooner you can get your degree. School is fun and all, but eventually you'll reach a point where you want to encounter the possibilities that await after college.

5. Fun times await.

Your main focus when you go back to school should be school. But weekends call for a time to relax and hangout with your friends. It may be a time where you guys go out to a party, bar, or just all get together and throw a dance party in your living room. Either way, you all look forward to having a good time.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
