5 Reasons Why Stephen Curry Is Potentially The Best Player In The NBA
Stephen Curry

If you ask a room full of people who the best basketball player is in the NBA you might get a few different answers. You might get a few Lebrons and Durants, or even a Kobe for the bitter Laker fan who can't let go of the past. But as of today many people will side with the baby-faced assassin, Stephen Curry. Over the last year Curry has cultivated the hearts of NBA fans all over America. Many believe Steph is good, but is he the best player in the NBA? Here are five reasons why Steph Curry is the best player in the NBA.

1. He is an amazing shooter.

Stephen Curry is by far one of the best shooters in the NBA. He shoots 46 percent from the three point line. To put that in perspective Curry is better shooting from 30 feet than Clippers' DeAndre Jordan is from the free throw line. Curry's lightning quick release is hitting its mark.

2. He is incredibly marketable.

In the NBA today, the superstar not only has to be a great player, but also marketable. He is very commercial friendly. Curry has no off the field issues which made him a perfect candidate for sponsorships, such as Under Armour. His smile and his family are absolutely charming. It's hard to be a Curry hater.

3. He can handle the ball.

Curry has dazzled us all with numerous jaw dropping moments. He handles the ball like a mix between John Stockton and Hot Sauce. He shoots half court shots with no effort and makes great defense just look "ehh." Curry is so good that he makes the video games seem unreal. He shoots extremely tough shots and makes them look normal. He's not a cheat code. He 's just really that good.

4. He's a great defensive player.

Along with sniper like shooting from the perimeter, he is also the best ball handler in the league. His great ball handles compliment his crafty driving and finishing ability. Running him off the 3pt line will only lead to him getting to the rim time after time. He also plays great defense and his speed definitely gives him an edge.

5. He is on the best team in the League.

Curry doesn't have to play well for the Warriors to win. The Warriors are a complete team with sharpshooter Klay Thompson on the other wing and the likes of Draymond Green in alot of pick and roll action. The Warriors also have one of the best benches in the NBA. The team seems to play better when the star is not playing his best. Stats show that the Warriors are 13-0 when Curry scores less than 25 points.

Curry’s quick release and quirky smile is surging for an unbelievable year. The Warriors are on pace to break the 95'-96' Bulls 72 game win record. Stephen Curry is on track to win the scoring title as well as MVP. His Warriors are a favorite to win the finals once again. As if Curry needs anymore validation than he already has.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
