1. Small Class Sizes
Does this even need a description? Just ask yourself, if you had to choose between a class size of 400 students between four students which would you choose? I don't know about all of you, but the best bet would be that most of you would choose the classroom with the least amount of students. Why? Well, just ask yourself this "to learn or not to learn?" Well, since school stopped being free a long time ago, the answer to that would be learn.
2. Names Do Exist
I'm sure most if not all have heard someone say that their professor was just well, a professor. Nothing wrong with that, but at a small college the bonds of friendship usually form among students and faculty. As odd as it sounds, but our names exist here, and students stop being just an ID number.
3. Big Campus vs Small Student Body
Imagine this, you're at a huge campus with a student body population of lets say 600 what can you do? The answer, everything. When you're fortunate to have a big campus, and not a big number of students the possibilities to explore are endless. What's the biggest pro? Actually being able to have that secret hiding place.
4. Networking
Networking is probably a given, but it is a really awesome pro. Sometimes, getting started with your career needs a little boost from a professional already in that scene. What can a small college provide? Networking opportunities. Most if not all alumnis are always eager to help students because they know how the system works. Even if you're generations apart, let me just say you have a lot of connections already because of the shared college.
5. Real Community
Let's be honest, having a real sense of community at your school is a huge thing. What I do know, is that it is always found in a small college. So, why not?
