Living away from home is a bitter-sweet experience. The bitter parts: having to clean, cook, and shop for yourself (with your own money), and homesickness. The sweet parts: independence, no curfew, and having a roommate. A roommate is not just someone you share a living space with, but so much more. I'm lucky to have a roommate that I can call my best friend.
1. My buddy
Having a roommate means that I never have to worry about being alone all the time, my roommate give me a sense of companionship that makes my days a lot better.
2. Someone I can vent to
Whether it's about a problematic person or me complaining about my period cramps, I know I can count on my roommate to vent everything to.
3. Basically family
My roommate is like a sister to me I can go to her for everything and can trust her with everything.
4. Sharing clothes
One of the best parts of having a roommate is getting to share closets!
5. Long-lasting friendship
Even after the day we move out and move on, I know our friendship will remain even when we're not roommates anymore.
