Now that finals are over we finally have some time to ourselves. Now that college is out and students finally have some time to relax and not worry about the million things that we have to do on campus here are five Netflix shows that you should watch over the break.
1. "Shameless"
This show is dangerous. It has seven seasons and I guarantee you that once you start watching you will not be able to start. "Shameless" gives the perfect balance of emotional realness and comedic relief which makes the show so endearing. Once you start watching you will fall in love with the Gallager family and all of their antics.
2. "Sense 8"
This show is about eight strangers from around the world that find out that they are psychically linked to each other's minds, experiencing whatever the other seven feel. "Sense 8" has a very diverse and interesting cast and this show will take you on a roller coaster of emotions.
3. "Luke Cage"
Luke Cage is an ex-con with bulletproof skin and super strength. If you follow the Netflix Marvelverse then you have had already seen Luke make an appearance on Jessica Jones as a short-term love interest. Luke wants to live a quiet life, but his determination to right wrongs makes him a reluctant hero of Harlem--and a target for local gangsters with big plans.
4. "Stranger Things"
"Stranger Things" is filmed like a 1980s science-fiction and horror movie combined. It tells the story of four children growing up in the '80s who discover that their town hides supernatural secrets. "Stranger Things" is a must-see piece of entertainment. Season two dropped in October of this year and but if you're in the mood for some good, old-fashioned fun, and few jump scares you will have a lot of fun watching this show.
5. "Club of Crows"/"Club de Cuervos"
This Netflix show is set in Mexico and is in all Spanish. However, do not let the language barrier deter you because this show is so funny. It follows a brother and sister’s struggle to maintain a professional soccer team and its dramatic players after the untimely death of their father. "Club of Crows" will make you laugh, sigh in anger and even have you cheering for the fake soccer team on the screen.
