Five Movies/Shows You Need To Watch On Netflix
Netflix

Its summertime! Let's face it: when we are not working, we are watching Netflix. Netflix has hundreds of movies to choose from. Whether you are in the mood for a good cry or a good scare, I am sure that Netflix has just the right movie to cater to your need. I will be honest, I have watched a lot of Netflix this summer. However, I did find some nice movies/shows to watch. I am happy to share it with you all!

Here are my top five movies/tv shows that you can find on Netflix now.

1. "Cake" (2014)

I watched this movie at the beginning of the summer because, I'll be honest, I am a huge Jennifer Aniston fan. In this movie, she plays a woman who is dealing with the aftermath of being the only one who survived a car crash, killing her son and husband. Along with the emotional pain she is having to deal with, she is also having to deal with the physical pain of having broken almost every bone in her body. Jennifer plays a completely different role than her normal "girl next door" role. I thought this movie was fantastic and would highly recommend that if you love Jennifer Aniston as much as I do, then watch this film.

2. "Decoding Annie Parker" (2013)

I just recently watched this film late at night when I could not seem to find anything else to watch. I stumbled upon this movie and I realized it had Rashida Jones in it. I am a huge fan of Rashida and immediately wanted to see what this film was about. The movie is centered on a woman named Annie Parker, who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer three times throughout the film. Set in the 1980s, Parker continuously writes to a urologist, who is trying to find a genetic link to breast cancer. With the help of Annie Parker, she is able to find the link and help many patients. I thought this movie was a great movie with a lot of insight as to how a person deals with breast cancer. I would recommend that women who know a person with this disease or have experienced it themselves, check it out.

3. "The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas" (2008)

This movie was outstanding! This was one of the few films that I actually shed a tear while watching. Set in 1940s Germany, the son of a Nazi general befriends a local Jewish boy at the concentration camp, Aushwitz. That is about as much as I can give you as far as a synopsis of the movie without spoiling anything. But seriously, go and watch this film! It will not disappoint!

4. "Stranger Things" (2016)

This show is seriously good. If you liked Steven Speilberg's "E.T." or any of the old eighties science fiction movies, this series is the one for you. The premise of the show centers on a boy, Will Beyers. On the way home from a night out with his friends, he goes missing. While trying to find out where her son is, Judy encounters supernatural forces that she believes captured her son. This show features Winona Ryder, which I am also a huge fan of because face it, who doesn't love Winona Ryder. So, if you are a big 80's geek like me, watch this series and you will be hooked!

5. "Little Boy" (2015)

This movie will capture the hearts of all audiences. Set in a small, Midwest town in the 1940s, a boy is bullied by his friends because of his small height. However, his faith is as big as the mountains he wants to move. While a Japanese man is ridiculed in the hype of the Pearl Harbor attack, the little boy befriends the man and shows him that not all Americans hate the Japanese. This family friendly movie will restore your faith in that there is more good than evil in the world. I loved this movie and I think you will too!

So, there you have it! Those are my top five favorite Netflix flicks! Like and comment your favorite films and be sure to check these films out!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
