Some movies on Netflix are simply horrifying... for all the wrong reasons, that is. Let's all admit it, we've spent too many hours searching through hundreds of unrecognizable titles hoping to find the perfect scary movie. Here is a list that can make the process much more simple. For a fright-night in with friends or a thriller that will lessen the space between you and your significant other, be sure to choose one of these films this weekend.

1. Last Shift

"Last Shift" follows Jessica, a new police officer who must work the final shift at a station before it is closed for good. What she thinks will be a simple night at work turns into something much more terrifying as she encounters unwanted guests and strange phone calls to the station.

This movie has just the right balance of jump scares, creepy special effects, and of course a surprising plot twist. As the plot thickens, the viewer becomes more invested in the main character, the mystery caller and their fate. If you're looking for a paranormal thriller with frightening images and sound effects, this is the movie you should choose.

2. The Taking of Deborah Logan

When a documentary crew sets out to capture the hardships of living with Alzheimer's disease, they come to find that Deborah Logan is suffering with something much more sinister.

If you enjoy the occasional movie about demonic possession, this is the film for you to watch tonight. This movie feels authentic because the audience learns more about Deborah Logan's situation as the documentary crew does, not to mention a phenomenal performance by Jill Larson!

3. The Den

The Den follows a college student who is working on a project about social media and chat rooms. During her experimentation, she witnesses a murder on her webcam and becomes involved in a nightmarish situation.

This movie is so terrifying because of it is relatable. Situations like the one depicted in this film can and have happened! We use the internet every day without thinking about how dangerous it could possibly be. After watching this one, you may want to shut your laptop down at night.

4. Dead Silence

After receiving a creepy doll at her apartment, a young wife is found dead. Her husband must figure out who has killed her, while at the same time being blamed for the murder himself.

If you are scared of puppets, you might want to sleep with the lights on. This movie has just the right amount of gore, creepy dolls and eerie secrets... and an interesting turn of events at the end!

5. The Pact

After the death of her estranged mother and the disappearance of her sister and her friend, a woman tries to uncover their whereabouts. Her mother's home may uncover the secret of their disappearance.

This movie is a great psychological/paranormal thriller. The combination of these two genres leads to a surprising twist near the end of the film. If you enjoy movies about vengeful spirits, Ouija boards and serial killers, choose this film tonight!

Happy watching! You'll thank me in the morning... or maybe not!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
