Growing up in the great state of Georgia, most of us have heard of Corey Smith. If not, he's a singer/songwriter that is from Jefferson, Georgia. He started off playing at parties while in college and later became a teacher at North-Gwinnett high school, occasionally going to the studio to record his music.
Then at the age of 28, he pursued a full-time music career. Corey mainly sings about his own life experiences. The songs he sings feels as if he is writing his songs about our own lives. In this list, you'll see five of his songs almost all of us can relate to.
1. "What Happened"
This song is about the downfall of a relationship. It tells you how everything was going great and then everything fell apart. It's asking what happened to everything for it to all go bad.
2. "If I Could Do It Again"
This is one of those songs focused on seniors in high school. The song celebrates a big holiday for seniors known as spring break. Most of us in Georgia took that little drive to Panama City Beach with all of our friends to basically have one last hoorah before graduation.
3. "I'll Get You Home"
This is one I know everyone can relate to. He is singing about that one crazy relative we all have. The one you usually don't like to claim in public but you would still do anything in the world for them just because they are your family.
4. "Ain't Going Out Tonight"
In this song, he sings about growing up and growing with your partner. When you become older, you tend to not go out with the boys as much and focus on your relationship.
5. "I'm Not Going To Cry"
This is just a bittersweet song about graduating high school. Reminiscing on all the good times and the bad times that happened in our youth. We were all sad but were really happy to graduate and move on to the next chapter in our lives.
