As the semester is slowly coming to a close, it is easy to get lost in a world of distraction, exhaustion, and desires of quitting.

We are all guilty of it.

The best and the worst thing about the semester is that it is almost over.

Things will begin change — your professors, your classmates, and your schedule. With this change, we need to remember what is most important — the next path that you are about to take.

There isn't much that I can tell you to do when it comes to ending your semester out with a bang that you don't already know. However, what I can suggest are some verses of advice — verses, that will hopefully, help you keep tugging along for three more weeks.

1. Collossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men."

No matter what it is that you decide to endeavor on, do it with grace. Do it in a way that you will be proud of, with enthusiasm and much dedication. The Lord wants this to be a part of the way that we live our lives.

2. Joshua 1:9"Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

God wants us to put our trust in Him, with everything we have. So study hard and never give up — at the end of the day, God wants us to be strong. He will guide us with the battles we face, no matter how tough they seemingly are.

3. Ephesians 5:15-16"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

God wants us to walk wisely and happily utilize the precious years that we have here on Earth. God wants these years to count, and with that, comes living your life to the absolute fullest. Studying for exams and doing well in school is priority, however don't forget to give yourself a break every now and then. Balance is key.

4. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Many of us struggling college students fear the future and for what is yet to come. The Lord wants us to have no fear, and to put our trust in Him for He will direct our paths. With finals around the corner, it is easy to lose faith in yourself, but if you put your trust in Him first, he will further guide you in the steps you need to take.

5. Galatians 6:9"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

Late night cramming for exams can easily make one weary. However, if you give up before you even try, you are defeating yourself before it is even over. It may be tough now, but working hard will certainly pay off later.

At the end of the day, the most important thing that matters is that you gave it your all. If you can go to sleep at night, satisfied with the work that you put in, then you have already won. Do not be discouraged and do not be afraid because no matter where we plan to go in life, God has a special plan for each and every one of us. It is important to know that He is always with us no matter where we go, guiding us along each step of the way.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
