For those of you who did not grow up in the Chicagoland area, you are most likely unfamiliar with Albanese. Albanese is a candy factory that claims "World's Best Gummies and Candies", and if you have ever been there, you know that's the truth. At the two locations, they have just about every candy you could think of at inexpensive prices, some of which are made right there in the factory as well as your favorite candy brand names. The candy factory also offers tours of their candy making, and around holidays, offers pictures with Santa or the Easter Bunny. Here are five of the best sellers that Albanese has to offer!

1: Gummy Bears

The gummy bears are the candy that the establishment is renowned for. They are manufactured in the candy factory, and the bears even sport the letter "A" on their bellies! Coming in a variety of different flavors, from more fruity flavors such as peach, blue raspberry, green apple, cherry, and more, to more creamy flavors such as strawberry banana and orange creme, there is a flavor for everyone's tastebuds. Additionally, you can purchase the bears dipped in chocolate!

2: Buckeyes

Buckeyes are another delicious treat that is also made inside of the establishment. If chocolate and peanut butter is what you crave, this is the candy for you. These peanut butter balls dipped in rich milk chocolate are one of the most mouth watering sweets that Albanese has to offer.

3: Sour Belts

The sour belts at Albanese are my personal favorite. A perfect mix of sour and sweet, these lengthy treats come in a small variety of different flavors, such as green apple, blue raspberry, strawberry, lemon, pink lemonade, and rainbow.

4: Milk Chocolate Melt-Aways

This candy is calling all chocolate lovers. A creamy milk chocolate center coated in even more milk chocolate is guaranteed to melt in your mouth and cure any chocolate craving.

5: Spicy Cajun Kickers Snack Mix

The last top seller to make the list is the Spicy Cajun Kickers Snack Mix. This item is not a candy, rather a snack mix consisting of cashews, peanuts, pretzel balls, chili lemon cornsticks, breadsticks, pretzels and rye chips, all mixed in Albaneses' hot cajun seasoning.

If you ever find yourself in the Region, stopping at Albanese and discovering your own favorite candy will certainly be worth your while. While you are there, don't forget to check out the incredibly huge chocolate fountain and snag a bag of the discounted gummy goof ups! If not, you can order candy by delivery at http://www.albanesecandy.com

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
