On Sunday evening, Willie-O will be hosting its annual fish fry at The Space, located at 815 Irving Ave starting at 6 PM. Named after Wheaton alumn William Osborne, who was the first African-American to graduate college in the state of Illinois in the 19th century, Willie-O serves the African American community at Wheaton College. Fun outdoor activities, such as Cornhole and Twister, will be available for the kids, along with an enticing menu featuring chips, drink, salad and dessert. The price is only $5, with the profits utilized to offset costs for the annual MLK retreat in Chicago, as well as giving African-American student leaders the chance to attend a conference in the spring. The weather is expected to drop into the 40’s, so remember to dress warmly. All students, families and alumni of the Wheaton community are welcome! We hope to see you there!
