21 First World Problems That Will Keep You Up At Night

You already know about #firstworldproblems so let's get real about the things that plague us daily and keep us up at night.

1. Your phone charger doesn't reach your bed

It's just enough too far that there is no possible way to make it work.

2. You posted a picture in the same outfit TWICE on social media

Basically social suicide, right Instagram?

3. You had to wait more than 5 minutes for your fast food

Could McDonald's BE any slower?

4. Your car doesn't have heated seats

When winter comes, you're going to freeze to death. RIP you.

5. You were unfollowed on social media

Let's face it: This hurts for like two seconds but then you remember that it really doesn't matter in the real world.

6. You don't have cell service

Hopefully you already know how to get where you're going, because Google Maps can't help you now!

7. There's nowhere to park your car

There's nothing worse than having to park 7 miles away from where you're going, or having to find a whole different parking lot.

8. Most restaurants close at 9 PM

There is nothing worse than realizing that you are craving something from somewhere 10 minutes after it closes.

9. The WiFi is down

Everyone knows that you can't function in any capacity without WiFi. You might as well just go home for the day.

10. The elevator isn't working

You when it hits you that you'll have to take the stairs. To the 2nd floor.

11. Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday's

Why is it that we always crave Chick-Fil-A the most on Sundays?! At least we still have Zaxby's.

12. You slept through all your phone alarms

Well you know what they say. Good luck, Charlie.

13. Your favorite sports team loses and it puts you in a depression

Y'all need to grow up and quit acting like a bunch of babies. Chances are if it's college football then you didn't even go to school there, so you are completely irrelevant.

14. They got your order wrong

Unless you have a severe food allergy, you will probably be fine.

15. You can't reach the TV remote

Now you have to resort to watching TV on your laptop or phone instead of the big screen. What a hard life you live.

16. You finished watching all the seasons of your favorite show on Netflix

You basically have to start all over again.

17. You ran out of skips on Pandora

Pandora Radio rocks except for when you have no more skips and you have no idea what song is coming out of your phone...

Side note: The Princess Bride is hands down one of the most iconic movies of all time.

18. There's nothing you want to eat in your fridge

What you see:

What there actually is: perfectly good food that you just aren't "in the mood" for

19. You forgot that you have homework due at 11:59PM

You immediately start calculating exactly how many minutes you have before the time runs out and you have even more problems.

20. You don't have the newest iPhone

Your iPhone 6s still works fine you say? Tell that to your 20% battery at only 8am.

21. You get too many texts from group messages

You want to make them stop. But you want to know what they say. It's an ongoing dilemma.

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
