This One Is for the first time bridesmaids

Warning, this is fairly cheesy! (Give me a break, my BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED!)

This One Is for the first time bridesmaids

Okay ladies, wedding season is beginning (and never ends), as we age through the college years into our early twenties, most of us have been, or soon will be faced, with a pretty little envelope or brunch date with those three words, "I'm getting married!"

For me, this time I'm a bridesmaid and I'm in TEARS!

You never truly understand how fast your falling into adulthood until one of the largest big boy/girl steps becomes one of your peoples' priorities.

I am so excited to announce that my childhood best friend, from so many summers of camp, is getting hitched and she's going to be my first bride!

In the most cliche way, she's known me longer than I've known myself. She is one of the few that has seen my gross growing up "phases," the only one who has seen my ugliest cry to date and the purest heart that I am unbelievably blessed to stand with on her special day.

circa 2015

We had met at summer camp we had attended for too many years. Our friendship blossomed when we had become camp counselors. We quickly became one another's summer time yin and yang. Soon, we were driving miles to expand our multitude of cheers and camp traditions to thanksgiving parties and summer break visits.

I can honestly say that I have never met anyone more deserving of happiness that comes from the everlasting love of another person.

Every one of my friends know that I am not a relationship girl, but I am constantly dreaming of my beloved friends "Big Day." To me, that day is an overflow of utter joy and happiness for the people that I care so much about. I want nothing more than my friends to be showered in endless affection and care from a deserving and eternal spouse.

I don't love love, but I LOVE when good people receive their well deserved (and in my opinion, overdue) endless, lifelong gratitude through a well reflected human being.

With that being said, Emily is an amazing person and her soon to be marriage has given me a permanent smile and an exploding heart!

All of us have our own stories of our first time being a bridesmaid and the friendship behind the title. With that being said, best of luck to future bridesmaids! Watching your best friend grow from childish inside jokes, adolescent late nights and all of the forever memories to a woman of life's many adventures, is the best privilege a girl could ask for!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
