The First Thoughts Every College Freshman Has As Told By 'Bridesmaids'

After arriving on campus, similar thoughts are running through most freshmen minds during the first couple days. Entering into what seems to be a whole new world, we're not exactly sure how to handle it or what to expect. Here's an inside look into the freshman mind:

Thank god, no parents.

Wow, so many cute guys.

Convincing yourself the freshman 15 won't happen to you...when in reality it's already begun.

Community bathrooms? Awkward.

Even more awkward...the morning after experience :/

Thinking "There's a 99% chance I’ll embarrass myself while attempting to make new friends."


Soon, you will be just another broke college student.

With loads of homework after the first day of classes, you instantly know school is going to be rough.

But that’ll just make the weekends more to look forward to.

And of course, already counting down to the days you and your friends are allowed in the frats.

But most of all, already knowing you love college and can't wait for the next four years.

After everyone has hopefully survived the first few weeks, I'm sure we are all excited for the college life ahead.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself?
