To The First Boy I Ever Loved

He had four legs, a wet nose, and slobbery kisses

Jacquie Kinman

To the first boy I ever loved,

From the day I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one. It was love at first sight. You were so adorable when you came up to me for the first time. I got a big warm hug from you. From the time we met, we were inseparable. We got to know each other. But in the end, you knew me more than I knew about myself. You always made me smile, laugh, and filled my heart with joy. During the bad times, you were always there for me and listened to what I had to say. You were there when I cried tears of joy and tears of sadness. You never left my side. I never told you how thankful I was for you and I am sorry for that. I hope you know that now. I miss you but I am glad you are in a better place. Just know that I love you. I always will. I hope to see you soon. But for now, I just want to say thank you for showing me what love is.

Love,

The little girl you chose to go home with from the pet store.
