Fire burns
Warming the soul with softened glow
So it will, eterne.
On a cold Winter's day, I yearn
To go
To a place where fire burns.
I reach out my hands, my trust it's earned
To save me from the biting snow
A moment I'll save, eterne.
But if I step out of turn,
I'll quickly know
How fiercely fire burns.
For flames, like a lover spurned
Burn places and memories devoid of woe
Unrelenting, for all eterne.
The truth to learn
Is friend or foe,
Fire burns
So it will, eterne.
