If you are anything like me, you are a people pleaser. You put other people's thoughts, wants, and needs above your own, even if that means giving up something you really want. The word "no" is also very hard for you to say. Being a people pleaser is not a bad thing, but it's important to know your limits. Don't let the happiness of others get in the way of your own.
You listen to the thoughts and opinions of others for decisions about your life or paths, which is good, but you eventually have to listen to your own thoughts and heart. You are the one that has to live your life. You have to do what makes you happy and what is best for you, even if it doesn't make much sense to other people.
At the end of the day, you are the one that has to look in the mirror and be happy with yourself and your life. You don't have to have everything figured out. You can take that leap of faith or do something that doesn't make sense to other people if it is something that makes you happy. It doesn't matter what other people think or say. A quote from one of my favorite shows on Broadway, Wicked, says, "happy is what happens when all your dreams come true." I believe in that quote.
Nobody can take your dreams away from you. They can try to tell you they are unrealistic or that you will never reach them, but you can't listen. You have to keep pushing through if that is what's going to make you happy. Believe in yourself and your dreams, but most importantly, believe in your happiness.
