Finding Motivation For The Rest Of The Semester

We are days before finals and I can probably speak for every college student out there, that we are tired, exhausted, and ready for finals to be over. Running on little to no sleep, caffeine is our friend, minus me because I don't drink it, and stressing about how we can bump the low grade in our class to a solid A.

Finals does something to us, we turn into the wheel of emotions. We can be sad one minute and happy the next. Or as I saw one guy do, carry a box of Kleenex with him to class. Mental breakdowns are a thing, I have had about four so far within the past week. If you are reading this and think this is crazy, well you have never gone to college and don't understand the struggle we go through trying to just make it to tomorrow.

Somehow and some way, I got myself out of bed and went to class. I have zero motivation anymore. I just feel I am flying on autopilot. Sometimes I don't remember how I got to class looking somewhat decent. It is not because I am lazy, it's because I'm tired, exhausted, have barely slept five hours, and the big factor, stressed. Being in your last year of college is tough too, you just want to get the required classes done and finally graduate. I try to motivate myself every single day I get out of bed telling myself that I am one day closer to the semester being over and closer to graduation.

Being a college student is a tough job, but I believe the job gets tougher two weeks before the semester is over and I think that every college student in my position will agree with me. So, if you are a college student who is in the same boat as I, know that you are not alone. You can do it and the semester is almost over.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
