It seems that more clothing stores are changing how big their sizes are. Shopping for clothes that actually fit is becoming more difficult that it used to be.
I'll be the first to admit that I have gained weight since I've been in college. My old clothes don't fit me the same way anymore. I went to Walmart last week to find shorts for the summer only to find that the sizes have changed and no, I'm not just saying that because I've gained weight. It is evident that shorts are getting smaller not only around the waist but in length as well. Trying to dress modestly with the way clothes are made today can be extremely challenging.
I have curves. I am very aware of that fact. And I don't think that I should be punished by clothes for that. I'm trying to feel and look beautiful in my own skin and by struggling to find clothes that not only fit but keep me modest, I tend to see myself in a negative light.
We wear clothes that make us feel good. Finding clothes that make me feel and look good should not be this difficult. I understand that not everyone holds the same beliefs about being modest as I do. I just wish clothes promoted modesty.
I always find something to wear, it just takes me longer to find it. I love going shopping and I don't want the joy of finding new clothes to be taken away from me or anyone else in my position.
