Finding A Formal Date As Told By 'The Bachelor'

'Tis the season for formals when every girl is going crazy looking for the perfect date. He has to be tall because you want to wear heels, he needs to be able to take a good picture so you have something to show off, and he needs to have a personality that can handle your friend group. Does he even exist?'

There is no better group of women that understands the challenges of searching for the perfect man than the women of The Bachelor. This season we have seen the claws come out and the desperation for the perfect man be revealed, something we can all relate to when searching for the perfect formal date.

Here are a few struggles, fears, and doubts one has when searching for a formal date as told by the girls who can relate the most:

1. "Sorry I can't go, someone already asked me to go on one that weekend."

Nobody likes being said no to, especially when it's because of another girl.

2. When formal is in a week and you still don't have a date.

You have managed to find something wrong with every guy your friends have offered to hook you up with and now you are a week away and desperate for a date.

3. He's nice but will he look good in pictures?

If you didn't Insta, did you really go to formal? Every girl wants a hot piece standing next to her when she posts on Instagram.

4. When you kind of want to ask your bootycall but you don't want to scare him off.

You are low-key starting to have feelings for your bootycall and think asking him to formal might send things in a little more serious direction, but of course, you don't want to ruin the great thing you already have going.

5. Will he get the absurd sense of humor you and your friends have?

You and your friends have endless inside jokes that sometimes seem completely absurd to other people. Will he be able to hold his own through all of them throughout the night? Nobody wants to end up spending the night with an awkward party killing dud.

6. Should you take your guy friend or a blind date?

You know you will have a good time with your guy friend but with a blind date, there is always the possibility things could get hot and steamy. So do you play it safe or take a chance on a possible new relationship?

7. When you just need a little reassurance from the guy you are talking to before asking him to go with you.

Things have been going well so far but you aren't sure if your relationship is ready for the big question; Formal?

8. Will they expect something when the night is over?

But would that really be so bad if you are down for it too?

9. "Sorry, but no."

When you think you guys really hit it off so you decide to go out on a limb and ask him to go and he straight up tells you no. No explanation or excuse, just no.

10. When you begin to wonder if going solo and drinking heavily at the pregame is your best option.

Jack Daniels and Jim Bean can be considered dates too, right?

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
