Find your people and love them hard.

How You Know You Found Your Best Friends In College
Kailee O'Brien

It's your first year of college and you are worried that you will not find anyone to hang out with, let alone anyone to go with you to get food. But somehow everything falls into place.

Being on a sports team for me personally made everything that much easier. I knew coming in that we all already had one thing in common, we loved softball.

After practices going to all get food together and getting to know where we all came from, if they knew anyone that I did, it was great getting to know them. But there was a group of people that I knew I would want to spend more time with.

These people knew other people and I slowly became friends with them. We started hanging out more and more. The inside jokes became funnier and the nights staying together got longer. I knew deep in my heart that these are my people.

Finding your people and loving them with all that you have is one of the greatest gifts I think God has ever given me.

We were are there for each other through everything. The bad days, the good days, and the days where we miss our families a little extra. These friends I know I will have in my life until the day I die.

I thank God every day for giving me people that push me to do good in school. They push me to make the right decisions and be an overall better person.

If it wasn't for them I don't think that my head would be on straight.

Of course we all have friends that we have coming into college but when you are in a small complex for 9 months and no one else around but each other, you build a different kind of friendship.

The kind where if it's 2 a.m. and you want to have a movie night, there's no asking mom if it's okay. You just go.

I couldn't imagine my first year of college without my best friends and I am so ecstatic to be able to live with 3 of them next year.

No matter what though, I will always love my friends from back home. But Jenna, Megan and Rench. Thank you for always loving me for me. I cannot wait for the countless memories made in the years to come.

Also, I love all of the other friends I didn't mention. You guys are the best <3

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
