As a college student, my life is pretty stressful. I try to balance lots of things like work, school, fun, staying healthy, mental sanity, you know the usual stuff. But if you know me I am the type of person to be stressed a little too easily. So here's a list of things--and I hope someone out there can relate--of the things that I shouldn't find stressful.
8. Ordering Food
Whenever I am at a restaurant, fast food or somewhere where ya sit down, I have a tiny mental breakdown. When they say, "What can I get you?" I panic. I know it's coming which is the worst part, I am just so indecisive because I want everything.
7. Hanging Up Posters By Yourself
Honestly this one probably doesn't hit home for a bunch of you. But whenever I have to hang up a poster in my room, it becomes a seriously stressful time. Why? Because hanging up a poster is literally impossible to do well by yourself. You have to center it when you are in your room and tape it yourself or using thumbtacks. But why is the DIY so hard. Like Pinterest-level difficult.
6. Stretching
Stretching is supposed to be good for you before you work out but out of every aspect of working out (stretching, cardio, McDonalds, shower, sleep), the hardest part is stretching. Knowing that I have to bend over *no innuendo intended* is the most dreaded part of my routine.
5. Holding Hands
Now, this fits for people in and out of romantic relationships; the general holding hands notion is too stressful. Why? BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY TO PROPERLY HOLD HANDS IS WAFFLING. Never, and I mean NEVER pancake. Now to most people, sane people, you might not know about this difference so I have a photo to help you out:
Waffle/ aka bless this way and its followers
But the other stressful element of this is the top versus the bottom. You see, tops tend to lead the way and have their hand "on top." But then there is me and people like me, who like to be led because *insert arbitrary reason here.* The most stressful thing is being forced into the role you don't like and holding hands can become incredibly uncomfortable.
4. Using Snapchat
So, Snapchat is the best app known to man. I think we can all agree to that. But other than almost sending a nude to the wrong person, Snapchat is incredibly stressful to use. Have you ever tried to screenshot something but then you accidentally close out of Snapchat? AND THEN THE PHOTO IS GONE FOREVER! Plus there this whole thing where if you're trying to avoid someone and not watch their story you have to make sure you don't click it.
3. Parking My Car
Okay, so for this one I am not speaking about parallel parking that is a pretty common stressful thing. But I am referring to normal parking. I have a small car so I am blessed in that regard, but parking in general is hard as hell. Maybe I had a terrible driving instructor, not to point fingers of course.
2. Posting A Photo On Instagram
Maybe I just care too much about social media, but I take a long time to prepare an instagram post. I like take one thousand photos just to find one good photo, then I go through this editing process where every filter and combination is tested, then comes the creation of a witty and funny caption. It just takes too much time out of the day.
1. Making A Phone Call
Here we go, the epitome of stress. I. Hate. Talking. On. The. Phone. Talking to someone about anything just makes me uncomfortable when it is on the phone. It doesn't have to be about anything serious, just anything in general.
So to summarize:
