How To Find New Music To Update Your Old Playlists

It is very easy to get into a musical rut, especially when dealing with a playlist filled with old favorites. Finding new music is a lot of fun and can help detract from the feeling of being stuck in a weekly college schedule.

Sometimes finding new music can be difficult if starting a new playlist or if the genre you have been listening to just becomes unappealing. One of the best ways to find new music is to go out! Going out allows you to hear new music playing in stores, music in the bars, or even if you are in your friend's car you can listen to their playlists and see if you like anything.

Music can also be found by using apps. For example, Pandora is great because you can pick the genre you like and it will provide similar music. Even more so, Spotify is great for discovering new music. Spotify suggests music based on previous playlists, makes daily mixes filled with new music and provides radio playlists for its listeners. Music apps are great for finding new and interesting music.

Lastly, new music can be found by just reaching out. Text your friends and ask them what they have been listening to recently, look on social media, or even ask your parents about their favorite music. Finding new music that fits your personal taste can be hard especially when stuck in a rut, but doing simple things can lead to a great new playlist!
