Finals week is upon us, and I'm sure everyone is feeling the stress. It radiates off of college students as we walk down the hallways to class, and even as we sit in our room contemplating if our education is worth it. Even our parents know, because we've already called them crying for the third time today. So, in the hopes of evoking some humor in these dark times, here are some moments when The Vampire Diaries perfectly summed up finals week.

1.When someone says that finals week is coming up

2. What you imagine in your head when the professor says that a test is cumulative

3. When your parents call to ask how everything is going

4. How it feels when your group doesn't do any of their work for your final group project

5. Things your friends tell you when you go out and drink the night before a final

6. When you and your friends share that mutual feeling of being a failure

7. Realizing that your final is double sided

8. That moment when you realize how much you actually have to get done in a short period of time

9. How you feel after going days without sleep due to studying

10. Sitting in your room contemplating whether or not your education is worth it anymore

11. The face you make when your professor says that the final won't be "that" hard

12. Coming across a question on a final that you didn't study for

13. When you don't have time to go to the food court but all you want to do is eat

14. Realizing that finals week won't last forever, and that your education is in fact worth it

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
