Finals Week As Told By "Hamilton: An American Musical"
The New York Times

Finals week is the bane of every college student's existence. It's the time when students are stressed to the point of exhaustion and desperation. Hours upon hours are spent studying for exams and writing papers, all in order to pass their classes. I have the firm belief that musicals make everything better, as they have the power to relate to any and all circumstances that a person goes through. They always are able to bring a smile to my face, along with some tears; so without further adieu, I present Finals Week, as told through "Hamilton: An American Musical" GIFs.

Before you realize how close finals are

Bliss. The unknowing bliss of what is to come.

The moment you see how much you need to get done in such a short time

Your to-do-list is too much. When did it get so long?

When the professor says the exam is not cumulative

It's like your birthday and Christmas all over again!

How you feel while studying

Crying while burning something? Sounds about right.

When you get hit with that random spurt of motivation to study

These moments don't come often, so when they do, you need to get on that ASAP!

When you're finished studying and have that brief moment of confidence

You know so many things now! Well, maybe not; but you definitely feel smarter and wiser than you did before you studied!

When you just want to give up and be done

Not passing this class wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. . . right?

When you and your friend are about to take the same exam

To quote another great musical of this generation, "We're all in this together!"

When all of your friends are done with their exams, and you still have one more

And then those friends proceed to flaunt the fact that they are done, while you still need to take an exam.

Trying to get extra credit from the professor

Extra credit is what helps a college student stay sane. True fact!

When you remember the answer to the question you just couldn't get

We all experience that question that you know you know, and the moment when you finally remember the answer is one of the best feelings in the world.

Walking out of your last exam be like!

I'm finally free!

The squad when it's all over and done

You all survived finals week, which means CELEBRATE (or take a nap and listen to Hamilton)!

While finals week may seem bad at the time, just remember that you will get through it! You will survive and then get to take a well-deserved break! Until then, work non-stop until you are satisfied, and just remember to not throw away your shot!

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

It is no secret that many American traditions have changed over time. As we grow older we change in so many ways that it only makes sense that we also change the way we celebrate special occasions. Of course when it comes to the holidays there are some family traditions that many of us still excitedly look forward to, whether it is eating your favorite dish or seeing favorite cousin. However, we all know that the holidays have overall changed a little from what they used to be.
