They might not take finals, but they must know what it's like.

With finals week looming before us like the big mass of unhappiness and stress that it is, the next couple of weeks will be full of cramming and eating too much comfort foods as we try to somehow get through the end of this semester. We’ve all been there, and if this is your first time don’t worry because it never gets any better and you get to do it again in the spring! Maybe that’s a little too overdramatic, but you get the picture. And if you don’t get the picture, then our favorite Disney princesses are going to tell you all about finals week.

Sailing Into Finals Week Like...

So you may not be actually sailing, but hopefully by the time your tests come around you'll be feeling all smart and empowered like our new friend Moana.

But, in case you're not...

There Will Be Breakdowns

Accept them as they come. Maybe make sure you study with a friend so you have a shoulder to cry on. But, the sooner you come to terms with the fact that your brain may feel like it's melting and you'll want to cry because you can't school anymore, the better off you'll be!

You Will Need Sleep But Probably Won't Get It

Sleeping is, of course, a necessity but finals are a time where all-nighters become a reality for most people.

Food Will Be Your Comfort

Suddenly, a bag of Doritos become your lifeline. A carton of ice cream stops the flow of tears. Your favorite candy bar stops your panic attack. Make sure you pace yourself, though. Don't let finals ruin your holiday figure.

You Will Be Overwhelmed

There's just so much on your plate in such a small amount of time. SO MUCH. And no matter how far away you try to run from all of the things you have to do, you will have to come right back. Trust me, I've tried.

Everyone Looks Like They Just Woke Up

Gone are the days where the school is our runway. People no longer try to look appealing. We have no one to impress until next year!

Exhaustion Is A Well-Known Feeling

Different than lack of sleep, but many of the same feelings. You'll be constantly tired, drained, dragging, but you have to keep going! It's ridiculous, I know.

Your Last Final Feels Like Christmas Morning

The excitement is unreal. Can it really be over? Can I stop crying? Can I watch Netflix? Can I go home? YES!

Finals week is a crazy emotional roller coaster that feels like it will never end. But it does. All you have to do is get through it. Conceal don't feel and let it go. You can do it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
