Lets be honest here... finals' week gets the best of us. Days filled with studying, leading to days full of stress and worrying. It really takes a toll on students, especially those who need a certain GPA to keep a scholarship or even those who just want to prove they know what they're doing and want their exam scores to reflect that.
You are more than your grades.
I know it's hard to think that way, especially because, as a college student, your whole life basically revolves around grades: homework, projects, quizzes, exams. Passing a class and being able to move on to the next, harder class is all we do. It's important to remember that your grades don't define you. Just because you fail an exam or a class doesn't mean you aren't smart. You could be like me, a bad test taker, or maybe you had a lot going on and didn't study enough, or maybe it was just a really hard exam. You're more than that one exam grade, I promise.
Go and take a break.
Cramming is not the way to go when studying. Plan your time well. Study for an hour then take a 15 minute break. Make sure you're getting enough sleep every night and not studying until 2-3 a.m. I understand finals require a lot of studying, but if you aren't getting enough sleep, then you won't be well rested to study more the next day, then it's just a vicious cycle. Go get food, watch some Netflix, take a walk. Do anything that doesn't require your brain... give yourself a break.
You're doing amazing.
No matter how shitty you may feel during finals week, just remember that you're doing amazing. You're going to get through this, and no matter the results, you're still here, and you're okay.
