Almost nothing elicits the same gut-wrenching response as the term "finals week." After you realize you definitely spent way more time partying than studying and you skipped maybe a few more classes than you should have, it's time to buckle down. College is all fun and games until you have to prove that you actually learned something.
1. When your mom calls you and you actually just cry.
Your day already sucks, you've written 50 pages worth of papers in the last two days, you are overwhelmed af, and your mom says "So, how's it going?" Bad, mom, it's going bad.
2. When someone tells you they're one of those people who "doesn't need to study."
Good for you.
3. When your family asks you how your grades are this semester
.
When was the last time you went to college, Aunt Carol, hmm?? I tried.
4. When you realize you haven't done laundry in three weeks
Is this shirt clean? *wears it anyway*
5. When you finally go to the library for the first time
You know, the place where you go to "study," but end up on Twitter for an hour.
6. When you've been up all night studying and the exam is tomorrow
So. Tired. Must. Sleep.
7. When you're on your fifth cup of coffee that day
It really kicks in as soon as you try to go to sleep.
8. When you realize you only have 3 more days until you can go home
Yassss. Home-cooked food! Showers bigger than a shoe box! People who actually like me! A bed bigger than a coffin!
9. When you realize you have to pack up all of the millions of clothes you somehow accrued
Where did all of this stuff come from? How did it get here??
10. When you realize you're over it
You've tried your best. Once your realize you don't care anymore, you'll feel better.
11. When you find the healing powers of wine
Wine heals all wounds, especially those left by finals week.
12. When finals week is finally over
PEACE.
