What Finals Week Feels Like:
Notey

Okay, so we all have to deal with Finals before we get to celebrate the holidays, snow, and new year and parents always say how they "understand" the stress, but I honestly don't think they know exactly what kind of storm is coming. I just thought I would describe the several feelings that all students can relate to within this season.

1. The stress where you have too much work to physically be in class because last weeks essay has been on hold and due at 3 PM.

2. When you cry so hard in the shower you could practically bathe in your tears.

3. Those moments where you just blast Christmas music because hopefully it will all be over and you will be able to live your life again.

4. When you get distracted from shopping and order a 280 pack of mini candy canes to remind you that the world does not end after these weeks no matter what happens.

5. Those times you remind yourself that you actually have to relearn or learn all of those units that you neglected and expected never to hit you in the face like they are now.

6. When you just spend your whole day in the room and look outside to realize it's already pitch black and you have to run to the caf to get dinner.

7. Your caffeine addiction that continues to grow to the point where the barista knows your different orders depending on your moods.

8. Actually utilizing the fact that the Engineering building has a bunch of hideaways unlike the lib and that it's open 24/7

9. Calculating and recalculating your grade depending on your worst and best case scenarios. Then calculating your GPA and then regretting your whole decision to pick up the calculator and crying.

10. Picking up those candy canes you ordered with your Amazon Prime shipping from the mailing center and calling it a semester because you realized life goes on after these weeks and you're just stressing for something that will go away and you'll never look back on and be glad you stressed out for and understand that all you can do right now is study?

# Relatable? Yeah, me too. Good luck on finals and remember there's other things in life than finals and working hard is more important than just stressing! LMK if anyone needs a mini candy cane!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
