For some, this may be your first experience with finals week. For others, you may be a seasoned pro when it comes to dealing with finals. There comes a time in the semester that all college students know as finals week, or hell week. What I have learned through my college career is that no matter how long you've been a student, finals week always goes about the same.
When you get back from thanksgiving break, and realize you only have about two weeks left until you're able to leave for winter break
But then remember in those two weeks you also have finals to get through
And then you look at your grades and realize you're gonna need a little extra help to finish with the grade you want, so you beg your professor for extra credit opportunities
But of course they say no
When you know you have a million things you need to be studying but instead, you do anything else in order to procrastinate
And when you finally decide to study and open your textbook for the first time all semester
And then you start to mentally calculate the minimum score you can get in order to pass the class
You always have the one friend who tries to convince you to take a "break from studying"
When the time finally comes, those final moments before the exam starts when you can literally feel your stomach in your throat
And then you sit down, get the exam, and flip through it before starting and quickly become overwhelmed
But then you finish the exam and realize you did way better than you expected to do
After you finish your exams, you get to go home, relax, and celebrate the holidays with your family
But don't get too comfortable, because you get to come back and do it all again for four more years
