Finals Week, As Told By Nick Miller

Most of us can't deny our love for the sitcom "New Girl," and much of that love is inevitably due to the lovable and always hilarious characters. Among these characters is Nick Miller, who never fails to have epically hilarious quotes. Many of us have probably related to Nick Miller's mentality that simply cannot be explained in words. Needless to say, he is one of a kind with his sharp and clever statements combined with an uncanny laziness. As explained by Schmidt, "Nick's delicate. Like a flower. Like a chubby, damaged, flower who hates himself." The brilliant (and often questionably random and strange) quotes by Nick Miller pretty accurately describe a college student's mindset through the many stages of finals week.

1. You know how important school is to your life and feel the pressure to succeed in classes so you can be successful post-graduation.

2. You feel empowered by the prospect of being a successful adult and feel like you are in charge of the world.

3. You remember that in order to succeed you have to put in hours of studying and are reminded of how unenjoyable this is.

4. You have finally found that perfect study space where you are finally able to be productive (despite your inevitable lapses of focus) and suits all of your studious needs, but someone walks in and tries to jack your space.

5. The late-night study sessions have gotten to you, and the words on your laptop are starting to blur together.

6. You seriously consider dropping out of school and going off the grid just to avoid the horror of an intense finals week.

7. Everything becomes too much to handle, and you decide to take a study (Netflix) break.

8. You try to justify the fact that your quick study break turned into a full-on Netflix binge.

9. You feel the pressure to do well on exams creep its way back and freak out about how much time you have wasted when you could have been studying.

10. You look at your notes, review sheets or any other study materials that have piled up, and you are overwhelmed by the vast amount of material you have learned—how is there so much, it's only been 18 weeks?!

11. The pressure comes to its peak, and you have a freak-out over the intensity of finals.

12. You try to study for your English courses or write that final paper for English and are fed up with everything and just can't handle the subject anymore.

13. The information, influx of caffeine and lack of sleep is catching up with you and causes you to become incoherent.

14. The stress-eating has become a real issue, and you begin eating everything in sight as fast as humanly possible.

15. It's finally time to take an exam, and you take your stress out an anything that crosses your path (even doors).

16. As you walk into your classroom, you feel as if everyone can sense your stress and are paranoid that people are judging.

17. During your exam, you don't know all the answers and instantly question what the point is and get angry that society forces us to be adults and make money.

18. You are finally finished with all of your terrible exams and papers and can't contain your excitement.

19. Even though you have defeated finals week this year, you know there is another one just around the corner just waiting to inflict its pain.

20. You numb the pain of finals week with some fun.

21. Despite the struggles of finals, you know it will all be worth it in the end.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
