Finals Week As Told By Elle Woods

I think we can all agree that college is never easy. From managing your insanely busy schedule to just doing the little things, like laundry every other week or feeding yourself, college can stress you out big time. It's hard to go from high school life at home to a college world that is completely outside of your comfort zone and different from the world you left behind. However, there is one part of the semester that is particularly strenuous and leaves you feeling like you've run a hundred marathons by the end of it: finals week.

Finals week can cause you to have a wide range of emotions over just a short amount of time. One day you might be having a stress-induced breakdown, but the next you might be excited from dreaming about your summer plans. Either way, there's always one person who can help you get through the madness that is finals week, and her name is Elle Woods.

Finals week just started and you're telling yourself that this will be the semester that you ace all of your finals. After all, you just have to believe in yourself.

After you finally sit down to study and realize that four hours have already gone by since you promised yourself you were going to start.

As you review your flashcards and notes, you begin to feel confident. You're going to crush this test.

You're so proud of yourself for knowing all of the information from the class. You can link everything together to form a cohesive response to your practice test question.

But after a while, you start to get so stressed and tired of studying. You might even begin to cry.

But Elle is here to tell you that you can't let a test get in the way of your dreams!

After all, how hard could it really be?

Once you're done studying for the night, you go to bed. But not before picking out your test-taking outfit for tomorrow!

It's test day! You sit down and take out all of the things you need to take the test, like your pink, fluffy pen which you use for good luck.

But then you open to the first page of your test and you notice that you know absolutely nothing on the first page. You might start to panic right there in your seat.

You flip through the entire test and realize that the whole test is full of information that your professor did not put on the study guide.

Since you don't know some of the answers to the test, you start to make up information. You even make up where you got it from.

After meandering your way through the maze of awful test questions, you leave the test and don't know what to think. Actually, you don't even want to think about it anymore (even though you secretly still do).

You try not to worry about it too much because you know that no matter what happens, you will always have good friends to get you through the tough times.

As time passes, you get the email saying that your grades are up, so you check your college portal. And you find out that you aced it!

Now it's time to celebrate! Go out and have a great summer! You don't have to worry about finals until next year.

The end is almost near, friends! Keep your chins up, hearts full of hope, and your heads full of useless details about that one lecture exactly 12 and a half weeks ago! May the odds be ever in your favor this finals week.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
