Finals Week As Told By Chandler Bing

Finals week is quickly approaching, as is the impending distress of trying to recall every minute detail that you overlooked throughout the semester. Throughout the week, you will likely also experience overwhelming stress, random hunger, a lack of sleep … and unbearable stress. Here are some expectations that you should have as you enter into the dreaded week, as told by Chandler Bing.

1. Your sleep pattern will become extremely irregular.

2. You will have the terrifying realization that you are an idiot for putting off studying until the last minute and wonder why you are allowed to make your own life choices.

3. You will get distracted by every little thing that is happening around you, but justify each distraction saying that you had to “take a break” at some point.

4. You will realize how important these exams are for your future and how much of an impact they will have on your GPA if you do poorly.

5. You will probably fall asleep while studying at some point – it will not matter where you are though. It will happen regardless.

6. At the last minute, you will realize that there is an entire section you covered in class that you forgot was going to also play a large role on the final exam.

7. You will eat your feelings because… well, you have run out of distractions at this point, so you might as well carb load with your other friends who decided to procrastinate.

8. You will finally crack and start emailing everyone in your class who you have never spoken to, but who you are prepared to plead for help or a study guide.

9. You will start rationalizing your decision to stop studying because really, how crucial is it to know Darwin’s Theory of Evolution?

10. You will have the sudden realization that tomorrow is your exam and it came faster than you thought possible.

11. The day has come… your first exam has arrived. You will look at the first question and as the sirens go off in your head, you will start internally screaming.

Best of luck to everyone as finals week approaches!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
