It's that time of year again — the time that every college student dreads: Finals season. During this time of year, there is panic and stress among the masses.

But, don't worry. There are ways to cope with the stress finals can bring. Here is your survival guide to finals.

Meditate.

I know it may seem like a waste of time, but meditating for five minutes at the start of the day can help you maintain a clearer mindset for the rest of the day. I promise you, it is not a waste of time.

Create a studying schedule and hang it on the wall.

I found that in college, it can be super hard to keep up with all the assignments, studying, and essays that need to be done. What I found helpful is scheduling out my week, so that I know on what days I should accomplish what. This ensures that no matter how much I get distracted, I can at least get the necessary things for that day done.

Eliminate distractions.

In college, there can be many distractions, whether it be the recently trending cat video on YouTube, friends you would rather be hanging out with over studying, and the notifications popping up on your phone screen. Yes, all of these things are enticing and fun. But, it's important that you don't let them pull you away from the task in front of you. What you can do is to make a commitment to yourself, just for one week — finals week — to not let these distractions pull you away from academics. Turn off your phone notifications while studying, hang out with your friends after your last final, and place those cat videos on a "Watch Later" playlist.

Find a way to make studying more enjoyable.

For me, when I am preparing for finals, I like to add spice to what I am doing so that I don't pass out from boredom. For example, I listen to music I enjoy while writing my essays. I also make my study guides colorful and aesthetic (which is something that entices me). I also love to eat delicious food while I am studying, such as cake. Cake makes everything feel like a party! And, I also try to be interested in the work that I am doing. I found it easier to study when I am actually interested in what I am studying in.

Don't forget to nourish yourself.

Don't forget to sleep, eat, and hydrate. These three things are a necessity. Trust me. They keep you alive.

If you find yourself stressed for finals, hang in there. You will make it through this. Have faith in your capabilities and don't forget to take care of yourself.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
