How Finals Can Ruin The Holidays

Fall quarter finals are just placed on the worst days. It's pretty much winter break, why can't we sit back, relax, and enjoy it. Instead, we got finals to stress out about and to kill the mood. The holidays are for rejoicing and eating like conquerors.

After Thanksgiving break comes Christmas. Before everyone leaves for break, you and your friends want to plan Friendsmas. Only problem is that everyone is busy studying for finals and finishing up on projects. No one has time to be cooking and spending time on the food instead of studying. You also can't make time to hang out with friends before the holidays since everyone has different schedules and different final times.

The stress gets to you and prevents you from effing enjoying your friends' company. Let's be real, the only people who can enjoy finals week like they want to are the people who aren't worried about their classes. They can get drunk, with the new law, get high, go out and have whatever fun they'd like. Good for all y'all, seriously. But we still got school to focus on and pray we don't fail that class we're only studying the night before for.

The stress kills the holiday spirit because all we can think about is finals. We can't be wasting our brain power on future holiday plans and effing Christmas presents. Trying to think of a good Christmas present will take up so much more time than you will think. You will tell yourself, "Oh, I can think of the right presents no problem. It can't be too hard. I'd like to say I know my family pretty well". Now some people do know their family very well, so good on you guys for being great a great family members, but for the rest of us, we be struggling.

The holidays are for enjoying yourself but its kinda hard to when you got stress hanging over your head. Finals are so important but such a nuisance. Hopefully everyone has studied hard and can get through it so good luck everybody and happy holidays!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
