It's that time of the year again. The week every college student dreads. It is filled with books, notes, coffee, and anxiety. Depending on your study habits, finals week could be an extremely stressful or minimally stressful time of your college career. Let's face it: Finals suck. So in an effort to alleviate such pain, we often distract ourselves with movie, games, and the internet. One of the most common posts I see my friends make is something along the lines of: Just binged watched all of my Disney movies. Disney brings out that happy little kid inside of all of us. Maybe if we thought of finals week like a Disney movie, maybe it would be the slightest bit less painful.
1. Turning in all of your essays at the end of hell week.
Let's face it, we tried to start them weeks ago, but had no motivation until now.
2. Studying over the weekend for your 8 a.m. final on Monday.
The best time to cram we spend online and reading articles like this. Definitely not taking our finals seriously.
3. Not getting any sleep on Sunday night because you drank so much coffee.
Waking up to the stress of finals is not fun, especially if it is early in the morning and you were strung out on coffee the night before.
4. Wanting to pass out after your first exam.
That first exam took a lot of energy out of you and chances are you only have a short time to nap before the next one.
5. Having to make a group presentation instead of a test.
You are stuck with a group of people who will determine your grade and chances are you have done all the work.
6. When your test is all multiple choice.
By no means easy, you have learned to narrow everything down to two choices. Now which is the right one?
7. When your test is all short answer.
There is not enough time in the world to properly finish these. Don't expect neat handwriting, either.
8. When you have to take a standardized test.
You better hope you teacher covered certain points otherwise you are out of luck.
9. Trying to find the motivation to keep going.
The real key word here is "trying."
10. Watching the clock tick by.
Some professors won't let you leave until the allotted time is up. That wait is antagonizing.
11. Walking out of your final final.
My GPA never bothered me anyway (sorry, I had to).
12. Discussing your answers with friends.
"Did you get XYZ?" Hey, if you both got the same answer, then you both got it correct -- or both missed it.
13. Furiously checking your notes to see if you got the right answer.
Just for that one little answer you weren't sure about, but think your grade hinges on it.
14. Praying that you passed your tests.
Finals: The best way to bring you closer to God.
15. Roasting your professors on their evaluations.
Oh, they will feel your wrath. Or at least the administration will.
