When you are in college, finals week is one of the things you dread the most. You find yourself bombarded with presentations, papers, and final exams during the last two weeks of the semester. However, there are ways to survive finals week strong.

1. Don't Procrastinate!

When you procrastinate, you can forget an important part of your assignment. Also, you will end up rushing to get it down and this will affect your grade, so just don't do it.

2. Get Enough Rest

If you are exhausted, your brain processes things slower. This means that your work and ideas are the best after you get a good night's rest.

3. Don't Eat Just Junk Food

I know it seems easier to just grab something sweet and fast to eat when you are on the go, but it is not helping you in the long run. When you skip a meal or eat unhealthy food, you start to feel sluggish. This is not helpful if you have to stay up to finish a paper.

4. Study in Groups

By having a study buddy or a study group you will feel more motivated to study. Additionally, you will be able to study by quizzing each other, and you may be able to learn something that you had trouble remembering before.

5. Take Time Away from Social Media

Your phone is just another distraction that lets you procrastinate instead of doing work. So commit some of the time you spend on Facebook or Twitter to studying instead.

6. Go for a Walk

Sometimes going on a walk helps a person clear their mind and this is important when working on a big project. Taking a step back can help you think of new ideas, or can help overcome some serious writer's block.

7. Use Scholarly Sources

Professors absolutely love it when you use credible sources so it looks like you actually put effort into your work. Don't forget to hit up your school library for other resources and help from the trusty librarians.

8. Do Something for Yourself

Treating yourself can help you relax because finals week is stressful, and you want to make sure that you take care of your mental and emotional health as well. Go out to dinner with some friends, or even go buy something nice for yourself, anything to perk up your spirits to crush your finals later on!

9. Take a Shower

Showers are often refreshing and a great way to relieve any tension or stress in your body.

10. Use a Calendar or Planner

By using one of these you will be able to keep track of your assignments and due dates This way you don't have to worry about forgetting anything.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
