We have reached the final few weeks people! Before, we know it the second semester will be over, and it will be time to return home for several months. This is exciting, but the weeks leading to summer are not. Here are four words to describe what all these last few weeks entail.

Hectic

It seems that in the last few weeks, the workload manages to increase even more than it already had. Every class is filled with the last one or two tests before the final exam, as well as countless homework assignments, quizzes, and projects!

Nerve Wracking

With so many things to do and so little time to do it in, it becomes easy to wonder how it will all get done. If you are trying to pull your grade in a course up, there is not much longer to do so. Not to mention, you need to figure out your plans for the summer? Are you going to take summer classes? Will you get a job to help with earning money for next semester?

Sad

The last few weeks are also quite sad. Over the past year, you have made many memories and met people you now cannot imagine your life without. However, before you know it, you will no longer live in the same building or close by to them for several months. In fact, you may then be several states away from them.

Happy

Finally, despite the above three characteristics, with the end of the semester soon approaching it is a happy time as well. Before you know it, you will be back with your family and friends from home for more than just a week or two. The classes you were stressing over will end and you can enjoy your summer.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
