As a Tucsonian living in the midwest, I am not used to having seasons. They absolutely amaze me. I'm kind of used to every "season" being unnoticeable accept for monsoon. I've come to find that my favorite season by far is Fall! Fall is just spectacular, from the colors to the smells, there is nothing I don't love about fall. So here is my bucket list to make the best of my favorite season and I hope it gives you some ideas too.

  1. Buy something Pumpkin Spiced
  2. Drink tea and watch the sunrise
  3. Carve pumpkins with your friends or family
  4. Go apple picking/pumpkin picking
  5. Drink warm apple cider
  6. Take a hay ride
  7. Walk through the woods
  8. Find the perfect fallen leaves
  9. Build a camp fire
  10. Roast s’mores
  11. Look for ugly sweaters at thrift stores
  12. Learn how to make Turkish coffee
  13. Create an autumn playlist
  14. Read a book while cuddled under the blankets
  15. Learn how to make a perfect squash soup
  16. Play touch football with friends
  17. Take a bike ride
  18. Go window shopping in antique stores
  19. Go to a local nursing home and help bake a pie with the residents
  20. Eat every thing that claims to taste like pumpkin
  21. Scent your home/dorm with the delicious smell of pumpkin spice
  22. Take pictures of the changing colors
  23. Make a homemade Halloween costume
  24. Attempt to knit a scarf
  25. Make homemade apple sauce
  26. Make homemade apple butter
  27. Volunteer to make care kits for homeless communities in preparation of winter
  28. Start perfecting your winter cookie recipe
  29. Start perfecting your fudge recipe
  30. Go all out for your football team

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself?
