The semester is winding down and people from campuses all over the world are scurrying, trying to find any way to pass the class they've pushed to the back burner for the past 15 weeks. Being so late in the semester, there's only one grade left to earn, and it's the final exam grade. Eeeeekkkk.
Final exams are good news, though. Isn't that the funniest joke you've heard all day? Well, maybe not, but it wasn't intended to be a joke anyway. Hear me out.
Final exams make us all want to scream, cry, give up, drop out, pull every single strand of hair out of our heads, etc. But, there is a flip side to every god-awful life event such as finals week.
I agree, final exams are for the birds, but if we can somehow manage our out-of-the-roof stress level for a couple short weeks, the waves of stress will disappear, and it will be smooth sailing. Go ahead, break out the books we all payed a fortune for but haven't used all semester, dust them off, and study away. You see, final exams are there to help us. We all need one last boost to our final grade before wrapping the semester up. It's our chance to ace that dreaded exam, and the A+ is ours to claim!
Now, can we talk about summer break already? It's right around the corner! Sure, five huge, comprehensive book-long exams stand in the way of our freedom, so it may be hard to see the other side, but our poolside days are way closer than what they seem. Almost like the car strolling behind you- objects in mirror are closer than they appear- that kind of thing. In short, finals are good news: when an end is here, a new beginning is near. Hello, new beginning...aka summer time.
College and high school peeps, we all get one another. Life's hard. It's busy. It's stressful. No one quite understands the work we put ourselves through on a daily basis. But, soon enough it will all be worth it. We can all be thankful for finals, because it's these horrid exams that help us get where we are going on a long-term scale. Think of them this way, every final taken is one step closer to the diploma with your name on it.
Finals can be good. Sure, they still make me want to cry, but when it's all said and done, I'm thankful for them and the opportunities they provide me with.
