I sailed azure seas wistfully,
encompassed by a blustery storm,
stuck between rocks; memories form,
of my former love, stirring my heart spitefully.
With each row of my paddle, I sail readily,
as if I alone were meaningful.
The winds howled until the sail fell,
of heartaches and mind perplexity.
A mist of mourning, a cloud of contempt
have obstructed my metaphorical heartstrings,
covered with bitter stings.
Rose colored glasses lead me to this attempt.
My vigor is immersed in the deep,
and I am left distressed to weep.
