Thanksgiving will come and pass, but that doesn’t mean that I will stop being thankful for my favorite things. Here is a list of fifty things that I am thankful for on Thanksgiving and every day.

1. Susquehanna University for giving me amazing opportunities and memories daily.

2. My fun co-workers for making my summers a lot more fun and entertaining

3. The teachers I have ever had for shaping me into who I am today.

4. Music for constantly playing as the soundtrack of my life.

5. Netflix for giving me a break on homework every once in a while.

6. My bed for keeping me warm and comfortable after a long day.

7. Cruises for letting me get away from reality for a week at a time.

8. My mom for taking care of me when I’m sick.

9. Mozzarella sticks for filling me up with happiness.

10. Cheerleading for being a sport in which I truly love.

11. My hometown for making me feel like I never left.

12. My friends Colin and Ryan for eating dinner with me every single Thursday.

13. American Eagle Soft and Sexy shirts for allowing me to wear comfortable shirts that are still cute.

14. Raspberry iced tea for being my go-to drink.

15. My best friend, Quentin, for giving me the brutal truth, no matter the situation.

16. High School Musical for never failing to make me sing and dance along, whether I am eight or twenty years old.

17. Buzzfeed for telling me my future based on my clothing choices and for giving me the most important celebrity gossip.

18. My dad for pushing me to try new things.

19. Twitter for making me laugh on the longest of days.

20. Medication for keeping me healthy.

21. My friend Adrianna for taking me on adventures.

22. Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee for keeping me awake in the morning.

23. My dog Sprinkles for cuddling with me for hours on end.

24. Long car rides for giving me time to sing as loud as I could with no shame.

25. My sister for making me a good influence.

26. Panchero’s burritos for filling my stomach up.

27. Amazon Prime for delivering anything to me in 2 days.

28. My friend Anna for being kind and friendly to everyone she meets.

29. The kids that I coach for showing me the importance of the little things in life.

30. Guess That Song for giving me a game in which I can beat everyone.

31. My friend Alyssa for teaching me about old actors and movies.

32. My dog Chase for being the happiest animal in the world.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.
