Dogs are super cute and every once and a while, people catch "puppy fever." If you've caught this summer disease, then here's some information to help those that are seriously thinking of buying a puppy because finding a compatible dog is hard. All dogs may go to heaven, but not all dogs are good matches for their owner. Here are some cool breeds to look into for those that want to be a dog owner in the near future.

1. Corgi

These furry, pint-size friends are highly intelligent. They have great hearing and are relatively small. They're great lap dogs and are just absolutely adorable. Corgi's live for about 12 to 14 years. They're outgoing and friendly dogs, so they're great with kids. They cone in a variety of colors and are even cuter when they're mixed with a husky.

2. German Shepherd

These little cuties are intelligent as well. They are extremely loyal and obedient. They are medium-sized dogs and adorable. They live for about nine to 13 years. They need to be brought outside for exercise on a daily basis. These puppies are more suited for people with an active lifestyle because German shepherds aren't homebodies.

3. Golden Retriever

These fluffy, golden puppies are smart, friendly and reliable. They grow to be large dogs and make a good family dog. They live for about 10 to 12 years. They live for the outdoors and need significant room to roam. Golden retrievers are kind to children and rarely exhibit aggressive behavior.

4. Scottish Terrier

These furry cuties are special dogs. They are hypoallergenic, so they're great for anyone that loves dogs but suffers from allergies. Terriers live slightly longer than most dogs. They live for about 12 to 15 years. These puppies are feisty, independent, and highly playful. They can be indoor or outdoor dogs. It just depends on the dog itself.

5. Beagle

These angelic puppies are highly intelligent and extremely gentle. They grow to be medium-sized dogs. They live for about 12 to 15 years. Unfortunately, these little cuties are not hypoallergenic. They do not shed a lot which is great for those that like a more manageable dog. They do not grow to a significant size and stay relatively small.

6. Pug

These little guys originated from China and are typically docile and playful dogs. However, they are not a very intelligent dog. It's easy to confuse them or for them to get confused. Pugs have a significant lifespan. They live for about 12 to 15 years. They come in a variety of colors. However, many pugs have some slight deformity. For the most part, pugs have tongues that are too big for their mouth.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
