If you are anything like me, you like stories; whether it be reading about them in a book or watching them in a movie or tv series.

I have this weird tendency to fall in love with fictional characters. Because I have fallen in love with so many fictional characters, I’m here to share with you the type of characters we can’t help but love and why. But it isn’t just these fictional characters that we love. Some of these types we know are realnd some we are hoping with everything in us that they are real. Either way, we are doomed to love them.

Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

I mean really though. The hair, the voice, his sense of pride and the way he always tries to do the right thing. There really isn’t anything not to love. He leaves us with a little mystery and we know he can’t even date but that only make us like him more. He is the good guy, the one that IF you could date him, he would treat you like a queen. (Until someone else from the show kills you of course.)

Niklaus Mikaelson of The Originals

The bad boy. Or is he? Sure he kills tons of people, but can you really blame him? He would do ANYTHING to protect the people he loves. He is the typical misunderstood, “I’ll never allow anyone in” kind of guy. Yet everyone, even the ones he crosses, love him. It’s inevitable. He is dangerous and impulsive and has a dark past. If you have a weak spot for bad boys, you’re screwed from episode one. We want to be the one that helps him see the good in the world. The more he pushes us away, the more we want to fight for him. You know he has a soft side and you just want to be the one to bring it to the light.

Chuck Bass of Gossip Girl

Do I really even need to go on? He is hot and he knows it. The smirk, the eye thing, and the outfits. He is the typical player and then BAM! he has a soft side too? That’s it, I’m sold. Doesn’t matter how long it takes or how much pain it causes, it’ll be worth it in the end. Right….?

Any character played by Ryan Gosling

Okay so maybe he is real… but name one character he played that you ended up not liking? I thought so.

Dr. McDreamy & McSteamy of Grey’s Anatomy

If you really don’t know why so many people inevitably fall in love with these two then get on Netflix ASAP. I mean… there are only 264 episodes.

Dean and Sam Winchester of Supernatural

Who wouldn't love two brothers that stick together, protect one another, fight off evil, and end up saving humanity from the apocalypse? Plus they’re hot, funny, and just an all around good time. Totally worth all 243 episodes.

Snape of Harry Potter

I have never been so deceived in my entire life. In a good way, of course. Not only the fact that he was the good guy all along, but the fact that he was a strong enough individual to go through all of this basically on his own? Brilliant character. I am just speechless every time I try to describe it.

Damon Salvatore of Vampire Diaries

You hate him, then you sort of like him, then you want to stake him dead, then you are melted snowflakes on the floor and you have no idea how you got there. He is cocky and selfish and most of the time just a douche bag but the moment he looks at you with those cool blue eyes and tightens his jaw, you forget all the bad stuff.

There are soooo many more, I’m sure. Feel free to introduce me to some new characters to fall helplessly in love with (it’s a hobby of mine). But use these references wisely. Don’t let the real “bad boy” take advantage of you. We only like him so much because we know that the female character is a strong badass chick that can totally handle it.

And remember, not all good guys are really good.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
