The Little Black Statistic, Part 3

After hours of laughing so hard they snorted and happy tears ran down their faces they paused as they shared a glimpse she never experienced before. He leaned in as he kissed her simple lips, her prince charming was here and he granted all the wishes she had ever wished for. They then began to make love.

It was her first time and he made it pleasantly perfect, he ends it with a kiss. He then places $7,000 dollars in her hands "thank yous were certainly the best I gave you a little extra since you were a virgin". She was confused as she walked out. She was under the impression that this was more than sex, that this was the start of something beautiful.

As the weeks go on she waits for a phone call from her prince charming as well as her period. Months pass and her relationship with her father dies for he had found out not only had she fallen pregnant but it was by a devilish white man from the north side. As one relationship died one is birthed as she gives birth to a prince she named Alexander. Knowing that he looked just like his father Alan it ate at her daily, seeing the reflection of a careless decision.

Months pass on and young, strong, Alexander grows, but his relationship with his father didn't, as it was nonexistent. She took Alan to court in hopes of getting support for her child because times were tough and she no longer could talk to her father. Nila's dad no longer could look at her in the eyes or even hold baby Alexander because he shared the same last name as Alan, and Alan shared the same last name as the bastard police officer who killed her mother Nikyla 3 years exactly of the birth of Alexander.

Now she would forever be held at close ties with her mothers killer, she will share a life, her most prized possession, priceless gift with the person who ruined not only her life but her family's as well. Nila physically lived on but emotionally she had passed. She became a statistic she never wished to be and couldn't accept any the college offers she was given.

Alone and taking care of her son alone left her left with no resources and no opportunity because she lacked the support she needed. She was later able to get Alan on child support but that no longer mattered. Now with money, she could take care of her son but the beauty and happiness she once reflected no longer existed.

She became bitter as she comprehended how oblivious she was. Naïve and reminded daily of what her father taught her to stay away from. What seemed to be greener on the other side came out to be nothing but dead grass and bullshit in the light. She lost her mind as well as her voice in life. Swallowing herself into a seashell of grief. Unhappily ever after.
