Who wanted an 8 million dollar boardwalk?
Parking, all we want is parking!!! The struggle of having to make sure you arrive a whole hour before your class just to make sure you have enough time to find a space is insane. Not to mention it is so dangerous the fact that people are trying to race and fight over spaces because someone could get seriously injured or killed. Just build like one or two more garages or even more lots would work, something.
Parking is a big one but there are other things...
Fixing up North Lake, understandably this isn't a top priority but the place is falling apart, it's old and run down. There is mold growing in the bathrooms, the walls and floors are gross, not to mention the cabinetry is like falling apart. Like just a little bit of cosmetic fixes would do the job.
And offering more food options as well and giving better Sovi dining food.
People spend thousands of dollars to get a meal plan but the food makes people sick and the quality of it is horrible. There needs to just be a complete turn around in the campus dining. There should be more options for food on campus, add some variety like a salad bar type of place, or just maybe healthier options in general.
Covers over the boardwalks, because we do live in a state that it rains all the time, we also need better lighting on the boardwalks because it is very creepy to walk on the boardwalks at night.
There is a way to do it without disturbing the plant life surrounding the boardwalks, but it is just to keep students from getting soaking wet trying to walk to class. And not tripping or somehow walking into wildlife at night.
While FGCU has done a lot of beneficial things for its students, it needs to continue to listen to its students because they are the ones that deal with all of these things on a daily basis.
We love our campus but these things are to benefit us, future Eagles, and FGCU as a whole.
