It is that time of year again! Thanksgiving is in a few days! After that it is Christmas then after Christmas it will be a new year (2017). I am definitely looking forward to going home for Thanksgiving and have many things to look forward to.

1. Relaxing

The good thing about going home for Thanksgiving is that you get to relax and clear your mind of many things. This semester may be tough right now but you get this break to relax and figure out what you need to do to finish strong.

2. Exercising

One way to help you relax is by exercising while you are at home for the time being. You may did not have time to go to the recreation center at school to blow off some steam but going home will give you enough time to do so.

3. Helping

I know that everyday is thanksgiving but we are in the season of being thankful and helping those that may need it. We may not of had the time to do all of these things before but this is the perfect time to capitalize on this opportunity. You can go to your local food drive/pantry and help out or help relatives or friends with anything they might need help with.

4. Family

Being able to be around your family and see how they are doing is always a great thing. It is also a blessing so make sure you be thankful to see them and spend time with them.

5. Food

I mean I do not know about you but I am definitely looking forward to eating (even though I always do). Remember not to eat too much and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
